Lone Tree Farm 2012 Cross Country Clinic Schedule

Are you ready to ride?

So you’ve always wanted to ride cross country?  Are you ready for a change or improvement in your riding style? Experience one of Connie Arthur’s great clinics at beautiful Vista Del Rio. The clinic is open to riders and horses with or without previous cross country experience.  More advanced students can gain new skills at more difficult horse/rider questions.

Riders new to cross country:  you should be at least a solid walk/trot rider with a secure seat.  If you are interested in training your horse to handle terrain:  we can teach you how to ride slopes, cross water and negotiate small obstacles. Riders with green horses:  we will introduce the horse to riding in open space and navigating terrain.   If the horse needs more work, we can pony the horse and/or supply you with a more experienced horse so that you can learn. Each Clinic is limited to about12  riders and each rider will get individual time to work on whatever they need to work on that day.  There may also be an optional mini hunter pace or trail ride at the end of the day to show off what you have learned.

2012 Clinic Dates:  March 10 & 11, April 28, 29,
July 28 & 29;  ADULT CAMP:  September 14 - 16.

The clinics are scheduled on the weekends. You can attend one day or both days of the weekend clinic, but preference is given to two day riders.  We know that everyone has busy lives, so we wanted to make the schedule as flexible as possible.

The clinic fee is $145 for each day to ride in the clinic, or both days for $225 and includes your meals (breakfast, lunch and snacks.) Adult Camp (Sept 14 - 16) is $425 for the three day session, and includes pipe corral stabling, and all meals, including dinner and after dinner activities.   Each rider will ride once or twice per day.   There is a $25 non-refundable deposit due to hold your space ($100 for adult camp.)  Auditors are welcome, for a $25 fee, if you will be participating in meals. Over night stabling is available for $30 per night in the barn or $15 per night for uncovered pipe corrals.  Hot showers are on location.
